Hey, I'm Justine!
I'm a Filipino-Canadian artist and designer based in Toronto.
Growing up, I had a fine arts background and loved to make photorealistic graphite drawings and surrealistic oil paintings. In high school I learned graphic design, photography and filmmaking, and fell in love with video editing. After entering university, my digital skillset expanded tenfold as I was exposed to front-end web development, interactive electronics, creative coding, 3D modeling and printing, and animation. It was here that I discovered games as a potential career path and as an excellent way to amalgamate all my creative skills and experiences.
I mainly want to challenge myself with how to reflect real life experiences and emotions through gameplay. I like to draw inspiration from multiple sources whether it be classes on Games Studies or Animation, film and TV, music, and of course games I’ve played in the past, and using all of these to guide the player through a specific designed experience.
I also love listening to music, exploring big cities, and chairs.
